The State University of New York at Potsdam recognized more than 900 candidates for graduation during the College's 2014 Commencement celebrations. SUNY Potsdam honored students who either earned their degree or were eligible to graduate between December 2013 and December 2014.

The following local residents are among the 1474 students who earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2014 semester at SUNY Oneonta. To qualify for the Dean's List, undergraduate students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 semester hours or more.

Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2013-14 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the spring semester 2014. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours. Students on the list from this area are:

Students have been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for the 2014 spring semester.

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 861 students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the Spring 2014 semester. The SUNY Potsdam students were honored for earning top marks by Interim President Dr. Dennis L. Hefner.

The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

The following students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the spring semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. To be eligible, a student must have completed at least four courses and have grade-point average of 3.6 (based on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

SUNY Oneonta recently awarded scholarships to 283 freshmen and transfer students who will enroll at the college in the fall 2014 semester.

Vocal Point, UD's premier co-ed a cappella group, took home third place overall at Varsity Vocals' International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella after competing in the final event at the Town Hall in New York City.

Stonehill College recently named the following local residents to its Dean's List for the Fall 2013 semester.

A total of 1,303 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's fall 2013 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

More than 200 students achieved perfect 4.0 grade point averages in the Fall 2013 semester, earning them a spot on Hofstra University's Provost's List. A student must complete at least 12 semester hours with 'A' grades to qualify. Hofstra University Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Herman Berliner applauds these students' impressive success, and recognizes that past achievement is an excellent predictor of continued success in the future.

The State University of New York at Potsdam has awarded scholarships, grants and awards to 1,047 students for the 2013-14 academic year. These accomplished SUNY Potsdam undergraduate and graduate students were recognized for their achievements with support for their educational experience.

Lebanon Valley College is recognizing 227 student-athletes for their participation on athletic teams in the 2013 fall athletics season.

Lebanon Valley College welcomed 482 new freshmen and transfer students to its beautiful Annville campus in August 2013, bringing total undergraduate enrollment to an all-time high of 1,648 students.

Approximately 1,100 new students, selected from more than 12,000 applicants, began their studies at SUNY Oneonta this fall. Classes began on Wednesday, Aug. 28. The SUNY Oneonta Class of 2017 is exceptionally talented and diverse, said Roger Sullivan, the college's associate vice president for enrollment management. The freshman class has an average high school grade-point average of 91 and an average combined math and critical reading SAT score of 1135. Acceptances of AALANA (African American, Latino, Asian and Native American) students were up 11.3% this year, and for the first time, AALANA students accounted for 1 in 5 new freshmen and transfer students.
